- Regardless of the connection media you are using ( modem, 10baseT, ... ) any
- request to a VINES service is the same since the transport layer is
- transparent to the upper (sesion, application ) layers. Therefore, yes, the
- password is encrypted when it is sent to Vanguard. I will say though that
- the encryption alogorithm sucks at best! :-)
