  12. For those who may not have seen it, the latest Library Systems Newsletter
  13. (nov 92, received here 12/18), has a lead article on whether or not
  14. CLSI will survive.  Well, we know the answer, but the info they provide
  15. does make clear some of the reasons.  Declining sales of new systems,
  16. and of total customer base.  One new system sold in 91.  Number of software
  17. development staff down from 100+ in 86, to 79 in 90, to 28 in 91.  All
  18. seems to tell us something, doesn't it?

  20. Although now dated in a sense, it does fill in some of the background for
  21. interested parties.
