- Sounds like it... Remember those ads in TV guide showing the little dish
- with a couple of rods sticking up. The ads headlined "Pull signals right
- out of the air" "This is not cable" "This is not satellite" "This is not
- illegal".... I'd bet thats what it is.... and you know what... it works...
-
- Sort of. Back in August of 1991, I told my cable company to take a hike.
- Since I lived in an apartment, I was limited with my options. I did however
- have extra space in my office/computer room, and the window faces out down
- into the valley out of Moraga. I bought a Radio Shanker uhf/vhf 75 antenna
- and aimed it out of the window. I don't get CNN or any of the other cable
- channels that I would like, but I do get the SF stations, the Sacto stations,
- and even channel 8 in Salinas. It's not the best of signals always, but at
- least I get to see the Simpsons on channel 40 when channel two runs a sporting
- event and the cable company forgets to unblock the `duplicate' programming.
-
- Hey, I even get my choice of 7pm or 8pm prime time on two of the three
- networks that have early prime time. But yes, I miss the services which
- cable brought me (note, there is a distinction between service and services)
- I don't miss their service.

- I'd rather get my cable service from the phone company,
- than my phone service from the cable company.
- (And NO, I don't work for the phone company)
