  18. Nope.  Large low frequency transmitters have pretty complex antennas.
  19. I don't know how many frequencies they actually transmit on, but it
  20. is a far smaller number than the number of wires.  For an even large
  21. example, go look at the large antenna arrays up on Pt. Reyes (also
  22. for marine communications).
