  15. Sun Sparc10 is supposed to be capable of 16 bit (Stereo?) Sound.  The
  16. problem is how to make use of this capacity for things like hifi
  17. music.  The confituration in the lab I work at feeds the digital signal
  18. into an small external DA device with a loudspeaker and a
  19. very noisy mini-jack output.   This DA seems insufficient for playback
  20. of hifi files, as synthesized for example by Csound.

  22. Does anyone know how to make high-fidelity recordings from CD/DAT
  23. (input) or into DAT (output), if not digital, at least relatively
  24. noise-free, on the Sparc10 ?
