  17. Yes that boy Kelly Slater is good alright, watch all the skeptics who said ,
  18. "yer but he doesnt rip in big waves" eat there words. After winning a three
  19. meter pipeline contest.Im not normally fond of American pros(no flames thanks),
  20. besides Curren and now Slater.
  21. Me and two of my friends from Margaret River West Oz, were checking the surf
  22. at gas bay after the Margaret River AA contest, when guess who rolls up in the
  23. carpark , on his own , in his big hire car...Kelly Slater. WOW you say. Well
  24. next he walks over to us and says, " Yous guys going out thar ", in a broad
  25. American accent. Seeings how there was nonone else out and it was 3 foot
  26. and sucking like a school boy on a lollipop, we said, shit yer, with about
  27. an hour and a half a light left. Kelly replies " good I didnt want to go
  28. out on my own", now that blew me out, a pro willing to share his waves,
  29. and friendly too. So the boys paddle out with Kelly...and this no lie, 
  30. he starts giving waves to us and hooting us on to take off on the big ones.
  31. Now this guy is a pleasure to surf with, didnt snake, didnt dropin, didnt
  32. care about that shit..he was out there for fun. We sat there watching him
  33. most of the time from the back of the wave, watching these explosions of
  34. spray and skegs(fins) fanfaring towards us. He surfs like noone else ive
  35. ever seen, and Ive seen a few. For the last 30 minutes we went in and watched
  36. Kelly from the beach out there on his own. Words cant begin to describe the
  37. critcalness and speed of his moves, just awesome. He came in had a nice 
  38. friendly chat to us, told us how much he liked WA, and went. This from
  39. a bloke who would be world champion, and who in town the night before
  40. was nearly raped by 30 young surf chicks. This is the sort of attitude
  41. that obviously makes champions.....on ya Kelly....

  48.     I cant surf like it.
