  23.     Okay.  Calculus may be a valid mathematical discipline, but it is 
  24. in direct conflict with those opinions (values) which I teach in my home.

  26.     And, I'll teach my opinions to my children about the dangers of
  27. inductive reasoning on which calculus is based.  Since calculus is a
  28. contrary to my opinions (values are opinions), do I have a right to
  29. ban calculus from the schools because of my opinions (religion)?

  35. |If one of my kids turns out gay he turns out gay.  When he reaches the age
  36. |of 18 and leaves my home he may live as he chooses.  If he chooses to live
  37. |a homosexual lifestyle I will still love him, but I will not accept his 
  38. |behavior.  I'd have the same reaction if he decided to become entangled with 
  39. |pornography or drugs.  If he decides to take the "easy way" out rather than
  40. |dealing with his problems what can I do?

  43.     If your kind of love means that you say "I love you, but don't
  44. bring your husband home for Christmas, and don't call me wanting to talk
  45. about those objectionable parts of your life," then your kid will not
  46. be taking any "easy way" out of anything.

  48.     I'm not suggesting that you'd be this way, but I know many parents 
  49. who have.  Being Gay can be quite difficult for many when having to live
  50. without even partial parental acceptance.
