  31. No, the majority does NOT decide "what are civil rights."  The 
  32. constitution, and specifically the Bill of Rights, were designed 
  33. to prevent the trampling of rights by the majority.

  45. That's why he used the phrase "consenting adult".  Children are not
  46. generally considered to be mature enough to give consent in sexual
  47. situations.  And by the way, I know quite a few gay men and
  48. lesbians, and I don't know ANYONE who thinks pedophilia should 
  49. be legalized.  Such people do exist, but they are a small minority.
