- You don't know anything. Dr. Caruthers didn't HAVE to do anything. He's
- just tired of dealing with all of the bureaucratic bullshit that this
- university is overrun with. If you actually think that the "harrassment"
- form was the reason that you don't have a clue as to all the politics
- that went on with the Super-Conducting Supercollider project. There was
- so much politics that I'm surpised he put up with if for this long. Also,
- Dr. Caruthers' recruited the only two women faculty in the physics department.
- The "harrassment" form that are so interested in was posted by a woman and
- there was noone in the physics department staff/faculty that thought it was
- offensive (in bad taste maybe). I know this because I was there during the
- whole incident and I am engaged to the woman who put it there. It was
- definitely meant as a joke and just illustrates how the PC movement would
- rather make a huge deal out of the form rather than go to her or the
- department and ask them to remove it. Very few people had actually seen
- the form but the next day everyone wanted to come and see the "infamous"
- form. There were copies distributed all over after this. I guess going
- through proper channels is not politically correct.
