Please give 1 example of anything being taught in public schools that is
directly contrary to measurable scientific thought. I'm only asking for one
now---it shouldn't be hard to do.

The school my daughter attends hands copies of policy prodedures to anyone
and everyone who wants one. No special request form is needed. If there are
schools who's policies are different then that would be a concern. Can you
name any schools that resist giving parents of their students such documents?

Agreed completely. Schools should be in the education business and not the
morals business.

Does this include any programs that are designed to enhance a students self-
esteem? What about students that may have behavioral/emotional problems that
hamper learning?

This would be opposed to asking your child to put themselves in the position
of a minority or other person who might be dicrimanated against, or discussions
of why it would be wrong to treat someone badly just because they are different
then yourself. (Skin color, culture, religion etc..)

Yes GOD FORBID that a student might learn to express their feelings. We all
know how that devil diary has ruined a many young child.

use some of his GOD given senses besides sight.

You must be right here. Why in the world we would want childern to think that
someday death will enter their lives. Probalby not their own at first, of
course the fact that dealing with a loved ones death is about the most

Why educated students about what drug use can do to them? After all they can
find out for themselves after trying it out. They might even learn something

Yep good idea to stay away from anything concerning world politics. Might
learn something about this country that ain't pretty. And that globalism
stuff---why the very thought that all humans live on the same globe sounds

For sure---kids don't need to know about sex. Intil sex ed. there was no such
thing as teen pregancies. Of course if you beleive that then you're as stupid
as this document.

You know in the 100s of combined years that me and my family and friends have
gone to public schools not once have I heard of any of us seeing even a clip
or picture of porn. Please tell us just exactly which school/s have porn
materials in their classrooms---I'll be glad to be one of the 1st to take
steps to make them stop.

There we go agian. I mean really---teaching a child to use their imagination,
think of what could happen. I mean worse case they could become an artist!!!

the Bible. AAHhhhh that would be MY version of the Bible and none other.

If this ain't a prime example of using the name of God to spread bigotory and
to maintain ignorance then there just ain't never been one.

Over and over there have been posts saying how public schools are teaching our
childern everything from sex w/ chickens to devil worship. Yet never once has
a particular school been named. This document is just another example of
of a right wing religious fanatical group over-reacting to its own ignorance.
I am not saying that you should go out and turn your child loose into a school
and hope for the best. Being a parent I take great pains to be involved in my
childern's education. If you are not aware of what your child is and isn't
GOING to be taught before hand that's your own damn fault. A concerned parent
would make sure what was happening with their child. There is no doubt that
some public schools are better then others and their is always reasons for
parents to be concerned about their childern but I beleive that parents going
off the deap end(such as we have just seen)will only harm a child menatally,
emotionally and socialy.
In short I love my childern much too much to even take such a document
seriously.
