  12. There has been a lot of slandering Mr. Thome Tomato on the net recently. I'm 
  13. wondering why. The last Thom E event was House of Euphoria, which I personally 
  14. thought was a joke, but the same people who were defending Thome's name are now
  15. disn' him every chance they get.

  17. For me, Thome redeemed himself a couple weeks ago at SONIC which was great, 
  18. IMHO. the space was great, the sound awesome. Interestingly enough, contrary to
  19. what the flamers have posted: THIS WAS NOT A THOME EVENT, although it had his 
  20. "seal of quality" on it. 'm pretty sure that was all he had to do with it.

  22. Anyway, I thought it was the best event Ohio has yet seen. There were no cops 
  23. (actually the doormen were pretty swift in handleing the ones that tried to 
  24. show up, convincing them that they knew about the laws regarding "private 
  25. parties" since SONIC used the map-point system).

  27. For those of you that missed out because of dissn' Thome or the dissn' thereof,
  28. you missed a great event.

  30. ABOUT SMILE:

  32. Why is everyone so negative about it. Who cares that Kevy Kev et al isn't going
  33. to show up. The listed DJs as of yesterday were the ones at SONIC which was 
  34. Kickin: mostly all hardcore especially after 2:00 AM. Besides, Kevy and Mike G 
  35. have to spin at their "real job" that night at CLUB 700. That's probably the 
  36. real reason they aren't doing SMILE.

  38. I'm planning to be there and rave in the New Year. Since it is the only thing 
  39. going besides Club 700 here in Columbutt and Smart Bar in Cleavedland, what are
  40. all of you dissers doing?

  42. ABOUT REACTOR:

  44. Thome's not putting this one on either. A friend of mine along with a small 
  45. group of promoters from Dayton are responsible. Thome is only spinning at it, 
  46. and only for an hour. They have a great space in a secluded area north of 
  47. Dayton.  This proves to be an extremely underground event. The prmotion has 
  48. been limited purposefully so as to keep it quiet enough to be SERIOUS. 
  49. Unfortunately a flyer got posted here in Columbutt at WORLD RECORD, but i 
  50. figure if someone's going to take the time to copy it down, they're at least a 
  51. little committed :).

  53. This event is not a cliquey too-cool-4U event. The promoters only wanted to see
  54. if they could get a group of serious ravers together to see what would happen 
  55. if they could a large group of people together that will dance together most of
  56. the time: Y'know -- Unity, an' all that. Lights are going to be minimal, mostly
  57. strobes, and lots of them, adn a few intellebeams--all designed to help the 
  58. trip in the tradition of the earlier acid-house parties in the UK a la PTV. 
  59. (Actually, SONIC had a lot of strobes and loops that were much more effective 
  60. IMHO than the Intellebeam wars that have been going on as of late.)

  65. If anyone knows the poo poo on why everyone's dissin Thome, please bring me up 
  66. to date. I sure hope its more than a bunch of people standing up for their 
  67. hometown DJs who have their own bone to pick with Mr. Tomato.
