- Gack!
-
- OK, I'm better now. Clearly there is a definable "RaveWear" kind
- of thing. Hats are often wore, think Cat-in-the-hat style,
- I've seen a hat with gloves sticking out of it like antlers.
- Colors are very big, and shirts pants with multicolored
- sections on them, like a dazzling lightshow.
-
- But what should you wear? The answer is, whatever is comfortable!
- I snagged a "RaveWear" t-shirt once, and wore it to a techno club.
- The &^#*(#!! plasticy lettering on it nearly wore my nipple down
- to skin level. I think spending 6 hours dancing in sweaty
- clothes will make many guys much more aware of their chest area!
-
- So I have gone back to wearing what I wore to my first rave,
- a black cotton button down shirt, which my females ravemates
- enjoy helping me unbutton when I get too hot ;) and it also
- has long sleaves that can be pulled up and buttoned down into
- short sleaves so I can go from cold to hot areas. And I
- genrally wear jeans, since they tend to be tight enough not
- to chafe badly, but are preferable to spandex when you have
- to walk outside in the cold.
-
- Theoretically, at a rave, it should not matter what you wear.
- It's not like anyone is going to really care what you are
- wearing anyway, although I do admit sometimes feeling a
- little out of place in my colorless rave suit, thought I try
- not to worry about it.
-
- I did just invest in about $60 of nice RaveWear, but gawd,
- I wouldn't wear that expensive stuff to a rave and get it
- all disgustingly sweaty!
