  29.   it does.  I have received many replies from very nice women in
  30.   response to my anonymous posts.  The only reason that none of
  31.   them developed into anything more serious was the geographical
  32.   distances involved.  They thought I was sincere, which is
  33.   really all that matters.

  43.   I see.  Well, I have a spine, perfectly functional as far as I
  44.   can tell.  The reason I choose to post anonymously to some news
  45.   groups is that some of the people I work with and for would
  46.   regard me as a "godless sex maniac and a real loser" if they were
  47.   aware of some of the news groups that I follow.  Since some of
  48.   these people can determine how much I get paid, if I get a
  49.   promotion, and even if I get to keep working there, I prefer that
  50.   they don't have that information.  Note that I do not use my
  51.   employers equipment.  I subscribe to a number of public access
  52.   sites, or BBSes, so this is all on my time and my dime.
