- Boy, and I thought I was alone.
-
- About 2 weeks ago, I got a little 'official looking' envelope in the mail.
- I figured "Oh, American Express is after me again, wanting me to get one of
- their cards." Well, I open it upand what do I find? A letter from a
- COLLECTION AGENCY that the City of Austin has sent after me because I
- haven't paid the final bill from my old address. They said it had been 6
- months, so the account was turned over to the collection agency.
-
- There's only one problem - even though the City of Austin has been sending
- me bills at my new address, I never received even one bill for the account
- at my old apartment. Nevermind the fact that I specifically requested that
- they send the bill to my new adress. Forget that they said that they
- would.
-
- I just want to know how difficult it can be for them to track me down when
- my address is IN THEIR STUPID DATABASE. Can't they just CALL ME ON THE
- PHONE? THEY HAVE MY NUMBER AFTER ALL!!!! IT COMES PRINTED ON ALL MY
- BILLS!
-
- Oh gosh - you can tell I'm upset, because I started using all caps. I
- never us all caps.
-
- To top off the fact that I find it extremely insulting that they would send
- my name to a collection agency (since I always pay all my bills on time or
- early), they had to do it during finals.
-
- Adios,
- Logan
