  26. Boy, and I thought I was alone.

  28. About 2 weeks ago, I got a little 'official looking' envelope in the mail.
  29. I figured "Oh, American Express is after me again, wanting me to get one of
  30. their cards."  Well, I open it upand what do I find?  A letter from a
  31. COLLECTION AGENCY that the City of Austin has sent after me because I
  32. haven't paid the final bill from my old address.  They said it had been 6
  33. months, so the account was turned over to the collection agency.

  35. There's only one problem - even though the City of Austin has been sending
  36. me bills at my new address, I never received even one bill for the account
  37. at my old apartment.  Nevermind the fact that I specifically requested that
  38. they send the bill to my new adress.  Forget that they said that they
  39. would.

  41. I just want to know how difficult it can be for them to track me down when
  42. my address is IN THEIR STUPID DATABASE.  Can't they just CALL ME ON THE
  43. PHONE?  THEY HAVE MY NUMBER AFTER ALL!!!!  IT COMES PRINTED ON ALL MY
  44. BILLS!

  46. Oh gosh - you can tell I'm upset, because I started using all caps.  I
  47. never us all caps.

  49. To top off the fact that I find it extremely insulting that they would send
  50. my name to a collection agency (since I always pay all my bills on time or
  51. early), they had to do it during finals.
