  13. For some reason lately people where I work overnights have taken to the
  14. assumption that, since I am working overnight, I have nothing to do.
  15. In two recent cases, I have been told that I "might as well" do X
  16. because, "it's not like you have anything else to do" or, more
  17. aggravating, "at least this will fill some of your time".

  19. I told the second offender that I was quite capable of filling up my
  20. time, thankyouverymuch.

  22. What makes people assume that just because my work is slow (overnight
  23. security) I don't fill it up (with studying, peeves, etc.)?
