  21. Good point there, Alex.  My peevesome edge has been dulled lately.  I know
  22. as well as anyone that this isn't alt dot happy dot fucking dot day!  I just
  23. can't help but think that my recent good fortunes seem to follow along with
  24. that ancient Hebrew maxim that the sum of good and bad in one's life is zero.
  25. I don't recall it any more precisely than that right now.

  31. Here's some peeves - the weather here has REALLY sucked the last few days,
  32. what with freezing rain and ice.  The fan/drive belt on the Billmobile
  33. snapped the other morning (fortunately, I pre-planned and had a spare and
  34. some essential tools in the car) - well, it didn't snap but it is now
  35. quite useless;  let's say it jumped the track and got a bit chewed up by
  36. the time everything slowed down...  Cave crickets have decided to take up
  37. residence in the house where I live.  And now I have a nasty rhino virus
  38. up my right nostril that has mucous and phlegm running out that nostril
  39. like a fucking waterfall.

  41. A person was killed the other night while using my favorite nearby ATM
  42. (but I have an airtight alibi), and a woman disappeared while using my
  43. next-favorite one.  Bad night, Saturday, for that sort of thing...
  44.  
  45. And lest I forget, the quiet little neighborhood where I live has been
  46. transformed into a hellish place with a recent spate of group barking
  47. frenzies from the neighborhood dog population.  I can and does happen
  48. at all hours, though the after-11pm episodes are quickly quelled,
  49. presumably by sleepy, fearful owners.  I probably would never know this
  50. except that I have been trapped in Casa del Bill because of the sucky
  51. weather and general circumstances.

  53. So, even though life has been a bed of cherries it has not been a bowl
  54. of roses.

  56. ObDecaturNewsForAJingHippy - East Decatur High School's band is going to
  57.                              England to play for Liz Regina on New Year's
  58.                              Day.

  60. And although I didn't mention it here before, the Psycho Bitch From Hell
  61. came by a few weeks ago to beg $500 out of me so she could pay the
  62. deductible on her wrecked car and get it back.  I courteously and succinctly
  63. refused and that's the last I've heard, seen, or smelled (nice smell,
  64. actually) of her.  And she isn't really a psycho except for the fact that
  65. she is weak and undisciplined.  That's why she doesn't scare me in the
  66. least.  But enough of that.

  69. I can come up with more.
