- MISSING_CHILD: The Rules
- =========================
-
- The purpose of the MISSING CHILDREN conference
- (area tag: MISSING_CHILD) is to provide topics
- which affect our lives most directly, Missing
- and or Abducted Children.
-
- Handle and/or Aliases:
- ======================
- Due to the sensitive subject matter of this echo Handles and/or Aliases
- are NOT allowed.
- SysOps who allow Handles/Aliases on their systems will ensure that
- their users proper names are used in this echo.
-
- Internet/USENET users will ensure that their name is in the message.
- This includes those posting from systems which compresses their names
- into 6 or 8 characters. These people will enter their names in the
- message.
-
- Sticking to the topic:
- ======================
- In general, a message will not be considered "off-topic" unless
- it contains one or more of the following:
-
- 1) Advertisements for services, items for sale or trade, BBS
- systems or organizations.
-
- 2) Personal or organizational advertisements, if the message
- has no other content.
-
- 3) Excessive use of terminology generally considered
- inappropriate for general audiences.
-
- 4) Personal attacks in the form of SPECIFIC threats.
-
- A single off-topic message is not necessarily cause for Moderator
- action; however, the Moderator reserves the right to take
- whatever steps he deems necessary to insure the integrity and
- continuity of the conference. In practice, this conference runs
- itself very well; the Moderator does not expect that he will be
- called upon to take action very often, and takes such action only
- under the most compelling of circumstances.
