Actually, we (followers of Yeshua) are to turn the other cheek to
an attack on our person, not to an attack on the person and nature
of Yeshua himself.  So we are commanded to return a blessing for a
curse.  But we are also instructed to defend the faith.  This
instruction is in harmony with the gospel (we are to be as wise as
serpents but as harmless as doves - Matthew 10:16).
