- Does it really matter what people think of us if they're going to be
- prejudiced towards us ahead of time? You could explain all you want to some
- people it doesn't matter; It goes in one cerebral lobe and right out the
- other. Until people get to the realization there that there is no evil but
- only a desire to interfere, this type of mumbo-jumbo is likely to occur
- ;There is no such thing as an evil practice, just evil people, which is a
- facet of life no matter where you are. Again, I'm not going to wait for
- the "evilists" to start up by saying "what is evil?" I don't know what evil
- is, nor do I know if it correlates to malicious people. I'd say generally
- that evil is anything that "harms or interferes" with another person whom
- doesn't want the harm or interference. Those whom assume this or that
- beforehand are usually very hard to "enlighten" to the true nature of
- magick anyway.. They usually have many other tolerance-related problems as
- well; usually, but not always. Those whom will let you "teach them" are
- usually pleasurable people to meet and deal with; They give you the 10 mins
- or so you need to make your intention clear and then ask you to shed light
- on that which they couldn't understand(I love people that want to learn.).
- It breaks down to two types of people: Those who want to keep assuming things
- and those that want to learn the truth about something.
- And, fact has it that the assumer's will keep assuming!
- (Well, not always.. sometimes they hurt someone and break the habit.)
- But, regardless.. You can only tell someone something if they'll give you
- their ear.. That usually doesn't happen unless you're dealing with a person
- that loves to know the nature of things from the other person's perspective.
- You can say "Witches aren't evil", but fact is : Some are, some aren't..
- I'd say all "other" organizations need a good deal of sharing before they
- can expect something. And, I have yet to see many organizations share
- ANYTHING.(If you have a good natured "club" and you don't show the good
- nature overly, people think "hey, they're not good-natured";All these terms
- are placeholders.)Through such a sharing, the intents could be shown to
- a commoner without "eyes" bearing on him; This establishes an environment that
- allows someone to learn freely. I think the Christain Scientists only had
- one great idea.. That is "reading rooms".. It lets and person freely learn
- about their belief without undue pressure from anyone. I'm not saying
- the SC's are anymore "important" than anyone else; but, I believe it to
- be an excellent idea for ANY organization that wishes to dispel lies.
- (For example: A good reporter would LOVE to say "I got this information
- from (insert name)s reading room". I mean, who do we have to blame when
- we don't take the responsiblities that we should such as PROVIDING
- a database where one can LEARN the truth about magick/etc? This basically
- provides the positive end of "magick" in a way that the media could access
- it.. If there aren't any sources that say "there aren't" then "there are".
- (It is NOT easy to obtain GOOD magick sources.. It took me about 4 months
- of searching around only to find a good place that was FORTY MILES AWAY!>.
