  16.  Greetings from the language labs!  latest news is the beginning
  17. adaptation of American Sign Language to meet the needs of a
  18. Telescreen oriented society.  The earlier resolutions to eliminate
  19. the is of identity are being further developed by a united effort
  20. of the Neo-Thelemoids and Wiccoid-Panpaganites.  Instead of "is"
  21. we use "as". Examples:

  44.  When we say that something "is" we invest it an identity that has
  45. a solidity which is more absolute than human experience and
  46. speculation indicates. To say that someone "is" something is to
  47. unnecessarily restrict their identity to that one thing. It allows
  48. us to foist consuming roles on others and ourselves simply because
  49. of the inaccurate piece of mental territory that the word indicates
  50. and creates. It allows us to be lazy and get into the habit of
  51. investing words with a level of reality that does not get us the
  52. results we need.
