-
- Well now, isn't this special?
-
- So, you want to know what evil is... ask my girlfriend.
- crack is evil
-
- but really...
-
- The symbology of the pentagram calls to mind the Crowleyan definition of
- evil, that being that it is the one-side of a dualistic interpretation
- of a given situation or spacial-temporal relationship. Since all
- 'points' or given entities of potential (of any state of existence or
- change thereof) ARE in a multi-dimensional universe, the reflexive
- definition of good/evil is only valid in a finite set of introspective
- decisions. The reality of the nature of being, according to AC, and
- maybe I'm the only one who thinks I see why... (or am I deluding my self
- with pseudointellectual fascism?)... would be that the interplay and
- relationship of factual, documentable circumstances would define the
- outcome of the next [n] gradations on the axis of observations which you
- choose to follow. Hence, evil and good are irrelevant.
-
- Whew.
-
- I bet that doesn't help worth a damn. If it is any help, AC was a
- serious Xian until he fell away and became Master Therion, purportedly
- because his mother's moniker for him was the 'beast'. So he was
- familiar with the Scriptures up and down, and refers to them constantly.
- From my limited Anglicized King Jamesized understanding of evil in the
- Scriptural sense, 'any sin is a sin against God.' since god is not 'in'
- hell, evil is any action directed towards removal from god/ god's wishes
- or commandments laid out in the Torah.
-
- If ya read _The Jesus Incident_ by Frank Herbert and someone else (I'm
- still reading it), maybe you remember Kerro Panile's answer to Ship's
- question (the spaceship that had them in hybernation units for aeons and
- became all but God) "Do you, like poets from time to time, think your
- self God?" Kerro responds, (And yes I am paraphrasing) "God is
- everything, and since I am of the universe, hence I am God."
-
- I feel the Zen or Hindu Brahma conceptualization is similar to AC's on a
- certain tangent, i.e., like Panille's bit, all is one, and evil is not
- really defined except through dogma, eg straying from the 8-fold path or
- something.
-
- So what the *** am I saying? flip the pentagram upside down and it is
- man upside down, his head pointing towards Hell. or the emblem of the
- OES. I don't know. I think satanism is dumb as hell because they're
- rebelling against god but using his symbol!! Aiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
