  27. Sounds extremely like a client problem to me..  the client you are using
  28. is sending "CHANNEL #channel" not "JOIN #channel" ..  as the CHANNEL command
  29. has been replaced/removed, etc..  if you have fiddled with any of the source
  30. files for ircd, then you might have mucked something up, and the client
  31. (sounds like ircII) defaults to ircd version 2.5 (which had CHANNEL) ..
  32. Try recompiling from scratch..

  46. Well, Avalon is on holidays at the moment, so you can't really expect him
  47. to reply can you.  I think its rather rude to make a comment like the
  48. above, when you don't know why..  and don't take his ctcp finger idle
  49. time as a REAL indication of his idle time..
