- That reminds me. When did Chevrolet drop the straddle mount
- configuration? I know it came out in '55, and my '60 would use it if it
- had a V8, and I know they had converted to the side mounts by '65. I
- had this idea the changeover was around 1961-1962? (???)

- The front bolt bosses came back in '68 on the 350 so they could mount
- the power steering and stuff more easily, so there were only a few years
- there without the front bosses.

- I think the mounting holes on the front of the cylinder heads also
- appeared in '68. (?) At one time I knew all this stuff, but it was
- long ago.
