- -> I like the shape and the way the Ghia drives, having owned several. I
- -> also know that Buick V6 transplants used to be quite popular to
- ...
- -> Does anyone still make adaptors to go from the Buick motor to a
- -> Veedub transaxle?
-
- You might remember my babbling about this seven or eight months ago.
- I'd thought of that myself.
-
- Kennedy Engineered Products used to make an adapter, but the last
- address I have is 1980 and the letter came back as addressee unknown.
- You might also check with Crown or Kelmark, or flip through one of the
- VW mags. If you find addresses, I'd be very interested.
-
- [I know Crown's out of business and I think Kemark is. JGD]
-
- KEP also used to make adapters to put the Buick 215 V8, Subaru
- flat-4, Corvair flat-6, Mazda 12A rotary, and Evinrude two stroke
- outboard motors onto the VW/Porsche transaxle. Maybe a Turbo Rotary
- Ghia?
-
- [I picked up the VW mag someone else recommended. Interesting article
- on KEP. Pix showed some guy standing there with a Ford/Yamaha 5.0
- engine sitting on a stand right beside a veedub transaxle. Transaxle
- looked to be about the size of the intake manifold... JGD]
