  11. Robin, yes I have heard of this group and contributed money.  I think 
  12. there was some airplay on the founder on the news one night.

  14. I used to surf from K38.5 to tressle's a long time ago (circa 1973)
  15. and I used to see floating curtains of slimish stuff that was 
  16. everywhere in the water... It always scared me... they were'nt 
  17. turds, or oil... I used to also surf northside Scripps Institute..

  19. There were always marine biologists working at the pier and we'd walk
  20. up and ask if it was safe to surf that day.. They of course were
  21. young post-graduates or full professors and were sympathetic...

  23. However, unless people form groups like Surfriders, (subversive 
  24. environmentalist scum) there really isnt any way to stop it..

  26. I know Surfrider has contributed significantly to some issues 
  27. regarding clean water and beaches..
