- I have heard a strange story about the ghost of a dog. It seems that my
- girlfriend's grandmother had a dog called Bear. It was a small yappy little
- thing that was not allowed in the new apartment which she had just rented.
- As a result, Bear was given to one of her daughters. A couple of years passed
- and Bear became quite ill. The daughter who was taking care of the dog decided
- to have it destroyed rather than to see it suffer any longer. Knowing that
- "Grams" would be upset, they did it secretly. The day after the dog was put
- down, Grams phined the daughter and asked if Bear was still alive. The daughter
- was shocked and asked "Why do you ask?" The grandmother then related a story
- to the daughter about how she had woken up that night and the dog was sitting
- on her bed. The dog ran out of the room never to be seen again.
- Maybe this was the ghost of Bear coming to say goodbye.
