  11.      I have heard a strange story about the ghost of a dog.  It seems that my
  12. girlfriend's grandmother had a dog called Bear.  It was a small yappy little
  13. thing that was not allowed in the new apartment which she had just rented.  
  14. As a result, Bear was given to one of her daughters.  A couple of years passed
  15. and Bear became quite ill.  The daughter who was taking care of the dog decided
  16. to have it destroyed rather than to see it suffer any longer.  Knowing that
  17. "Grams" would be upset, they did it secretly.  The day after the dog was put
  18. down, Grams phined the daughter and asked if Bear was still alive.  The daughter
  19. was shocked and asked "Why do you ask?" The grandmother then related a story
  20. to the daughter about how she had woken up that night and the dog was sitting 
  21. on her bed.  The dog ran out of the room never to be seen again.
  22.     Maybe this was the ghost of Bear coming to say goodbye.
