  46. December 30, 1992 - It's now 58 days after Bill Clinton's
  47. election and Rush is still on the air with 546 radio affiliates
  48. and 207 TV affiliates, and his book has been on the NY Times
  49. hardback non-fiction best-seller list for 15 consecutive weeks
  50. and is currently number one on the list.

  57. The country's love affair with the condom has gone haywire, just
  58. as Rush predicted it would. Only a few months ago during one of
  59. his Condom Updates, Rush asked if society would reward rapists
  60. for using a condom. Rush has his answer - in a chilling bit of
  61. news, a grand jury in Austin, TX has refused to indict a rapist
  62. because his victim asked him to use a condom. This decision, not
  63. surprisingly, has outraged people in Austin and throughout the
  64. country.

  66. The victim said she was afraid she might contract a sexually
  67. transmitted disease while she was being assault at knife point
  68. for 45 minutes. The rapist, Joel Valdez, who broke into the
  69. woman's apartment, later said that if the woman didn't want to
  70. have sex with him, why would she have given him a condom?
  71.  
  72. The answer is obvious to anyone, except to those who sit on the
  73. Austin grand jury, who ignored a confession by Valdez. The victim
  74. is infuriated by the decision not to indict, and she asked how
  75. this can happen. Rush replies that this can happen because "the
  76. condom, as a way of life, is now an excuse to replace behavioral
  77. choices, even for criminals. A criminal using a condom is not
  78. guilty of rape? It's gone haywire, folks!"
