- I can confirm this story. Bryant Gumbel (sp?) was struggling
- (unsuccessfully) to control his laughter as he described how Dan's law
- degree was going to be on display, among other things. Bryant then
- half-apologized, saying this was serious stuff (he was still
- laughing).

- After the break, they came back with a story about some newscaster
- somewhere being suspended for three months for laughing while reading
- a story about a woman who had a baby in the toilet of a train, and how
- the baby fell on to the tracks below and still survived.
