  20. There are other mailing lists:  New Pathways to a Degree, BLIND-L
  21. Disability Research and, of course, the misc.handicap newsgroup which
  22. contains a lot of information from FidoNET users.

  24. Probably the reason we don't see many people posting to this newsgroup
  25. is because not all Usenet/Internet sites get the alt groups.
  26.  
  27. Some of the challenged people I know have taken distance education
  28. courses via computer; several professors I am acquainted with teach
  29. these courses - computer mediated communication/education dissolves
  30. the barriers you talk about with respect to student/professor
  31. interaction in the classroom.  CMC also makes handicaps invisible :-)
