  26. Good point.  Part of my research has been to seek out these 'causes'
  27. and note them.  While many induction methods work well under the
  28. right conditions, it now seems to me that hypnagogia is the best way
  29. to reliably re-enter the lucid dream

  36. Oh, please excuse my brief reference.  Only us "trekkies" would pick
  37. right up on it...  I was referring to the Star Trek:  The Next
  38. Generation (ST:STNG) episode entitled "Q-Me" which is about a race
  39. of god-like omnipotent beings.  In this episode, a normal "appearing"
  40. human female learns that she is one of the omnipotent "Q-continuum."
  41. She notes that this knowledged of omnipotence can be rather daunting,
  42. as is this knowledge within the lucid dreamstate, hence my reference.

  61. Ah yes, excellent movie.  I have seen it a number of times.  I think it
  62. has the best footage of REM in the sleep lab that I have ever seen.

  64. Once of the premises of the movie which I just saw repeated in last
  65. week's episode of "Beyond Reality" is the concept of "matching" EEG
  66. traces with another to enter the other's dream.  While it is fictional,
  67. and quite interesting, our knowledge of brain waves doesn't come near
  68. this close yet.  Hollywood has a way of jumping the gun.
