- If you had bothered to read the context (which is still included up
- above) you would see that what I was saying is that they need to know
- English to get rich. Not to find their way arround town.
-
- > Blacks in the U.S. lost thier native tongue, and thats be why we speaks and

-
- Yeah, right. Blacks and every other non-British immigrant. Somehow
- those other groups don't seem to have suffered in that way.
-
- I'll add that as far as speaking and writing badl gores, you're pretty
- much in a class by yourself.

-
- You bet. So what should we learn?
-
- Well, Pompeii teaches us not to build cities right next to active
- volcanoes. Lesson learned. Rome teaches us to keep our army strong.
- Lesson kind of half learned.
-
- > What did we learn from the Gulf Crises? We still have high gas prices

-
- What do gas prices and blacks being beaten have to do with what we
- learned from the Gulf Crisis?
-

- Sorry. I thought it was Seth Breidbart who wrote that last.

- Perhaps you are, but if you are so ashamed of your posts that you

-
- > I went to school with whites. I met descendants of

-
- Quite possible. So what? Learn to read, god-damn it. I never
- claimed that there are no descendants of French immigrants in the US.
- Just that there aren't very many.
-
- > I met no blacks and have yet to
- > meet a black who is a descendant of an african, with the exception of slave

-
- Well, first off, why shouldn't the descnedants of slaves count?
- Secondly, you must have had a very sheltered upbringing. There were a
- number of blacks who were descendants of recent immigrants or even
- immigrants themselves in my highschool.
-
- >>> How many

-
- Pretty sad. I don't know where my great great grandparents come from
- either. Somehow, I haven't felt the need to make up stories in my
- head about where they may have come from.
