- Some of the Units used for full scale military aircraft stuff use a
- system that aims an IR light at an eye. The reflection of the light of
- off the cornea is picked up by a sensor that can figure out the amount
- and direction of movement. Sort of using the eyeball as an optical
- rollerball. Good luck figuring this out or getting the hardware.
- On some Helicopter systems, this is used to aim 20mm miniguns or other
- weapons systems, so the pilot has his hands free to fly his craft.
-
- Apprently this system as far as I can tell, seems to rely on the fact
- that the cornea on the eye gives you something to aim the light at that
- changes position in relationship to the light sensor and source.
- IR Diode, fiber optics, IR detectors and an interface?
