- Conspiracy theorys really crack me up.
-
- It's always a riot when the rights of the few outweight the rights of everyone
- else.
-
- I've seen a growing population (recently) of conspiratorial attitudes, I'll
- admit. But you can expect that in any organization, especially one as large
- as the government. Same with big business. And medium sized business. And
- small business. And educational institutions. And {ad nauseum}.
-
- Not that you're completely wrong. But the sweeping generalizations about the
- three-letter government agencies borders on paranoia. They're not all
- out to get you, or anyone else. The DEA has a job to do, just like the rest
- of us. So does the SS, the FBI, the CIA, the IRS, the NSA(who?), and all
- the other government agencies.
-
- If someones rights are squashed without due process, then that someone has
- legal recourse. It's a tragic situation, but nobody's perfect. If the DEA
- busts a drug dealer and takes everything he/she owns within due process,
- tough shit. If you don't like it, do something about it. Change was and
- always is instituted by people dissatisfied with the status quo. But
- back-room mutterings are best left up to people who traffic in conspiricies.
-
- BTW, Operation SunDevil WAS rife with stupidity, and I suggest you follow
- andy's advice and get the EFF information. It's food for thought.
