  14.         The Ekaterinburg Municipal Choir of Boys and Youths
  15.       at the Urals Conservatoir appeals to managers and business
  16.       people both in this country and adroad to whom the ideas of
  17.       philanthropy and patronage of art are not alien .
  18.         The Choir is renewing and developing the Russian singing
  19.       traditions and its repertoir includes works of both home and
  20.       foreign classical and modern musical culture .
  21.         The Choir has won a high appraisal of its skill among the
  22.       professional musicians inspite of the fact that side by side
  23.       with the youths singing in the Choir there are quite young
  24.       boys aged only 8 or 9 . In the past year alone the Choir be-
  25.       came laureate of four significant music festivals.
  26.         Of late the Choir has established friendly relations with
  27.       the Chicago Municipal Children's Choir which is planning to
  28.       receive the boys from the Urals at home in Chicago and ar-
  29.       range joint concerts. Unfortunately,growing fares preclude
  30.       the opportunity to introduce the young Ekaterinburg singers
  31.       to the USA .
  32.         The Choir will appreciate any help and will be very much
  33.       obliged to the people realizing the necessity of strengthen-
  34.       ing international cultural ties as well as maintaining and
  35.       developing the wonderful Russian singing traditions .
