- Hi netters. I thought you might be interested in the list from the readme
- file on the new Sherlock Holmes II game. It says these drives are marginal
- or will not work with the game (it has video in a window that fills about
- one-fourth of the screen area):
-
- NEC 35,36,36m,37
- Maganavox (Philips?) CDD-461
- Pioneer DRM600 changer
- Chinon CDA-431
-
- I feared the worst for the NEC 25bj that I got in the Medivision FusionCD
- kit, since it should be worse performing than the NEC 37, but I was
- pleasantly surprised: it works fine. It is interesting that new drives like
- the 461 and the NEC 37 are on the list, while the cheapest drive, the
- Mitsumi, is not. Anybody else have handson experience with this game and
- cd-rom drives, either on the above list or not?
-
- Cheers,
- Dave
