- Hmmm... I have four hats...
-
- One is a baseball cap in BRIGHT Hawaiian print. It's one that I usually
- wear backwards and more for the looks than the protection. It's pretty
- against my black hair, chuckle... and hides the silver hairs. Grin.
-
- One is a red 'legionaires' hat, squareish with a round bill and two tails
- down the back which are really good for preventing sunburn of the back of
- the neck. I got that one from Disneyland. Grin. I usually bring this
- one for camping when there is lots of sun or mosquitos. The tails also
- keep mosquitos from biting the back of my neck.
-
- And one is a pith helmet with a sweat band in front. That one is fun for
- summer vacations.
-
- My sister gave me, for one Christmas, a neon YELLOW!!! stocking cap. I
- occassionally wear that one for soccer games when it's below freezing out.
- It's nice because it doesn't get in the way of headers, but, occassionally
- flies off if hit at a glancing angle. It's also nice because then my
- teammates have no trouble, whatsoever, in spotting me, so they don't have
- that excuse not to pass to me. So I do get the ball more often then.
-
- John also owns a flat cap for driving, but it's too small for him, so I get
- to wear it. And I've made a couple of knit caps and stocking hats that are
- fun, but I don't wear 'em. Mostly give 'em away.
-
- It's funny, but when I do wear a hat, I usually take it off before going
- inside anywhere. I once doffed my hat to a lady who called me "Young
- sir." She liked that. :) I think it's cause she didn't expect someone
- she thought was a teenaged boy to do that. It's fun.
