  19. California has one of the highest number of people unemployed and especially
  20. in your area of computer science a job is not always easy to get. I get an
  21. increasing number of calls from employment agencies offering contracting help
  22. which means there are a lot of people out there who are in need of a job.
  23. Experience is one of the things they are after these days. Just finishing    
  24. a study may make it a lot harder.

  29. You can probably only get a work permit with a job offer in hand. You could
  30. come in as a visitor and try to find a job. Than get the company provide
  31. you with a H1 visa. No matter what, its the chicken and egg syndrom, you cant
  32. get a job without a permit but you cant get a permit without a job (offer).

  38. Here in Silicon Valley, San Francisco Bay Area, rent for appartment is approx
  39. $ 700 and up (unless you want to share) and buying apartment is $ 85K and up
