  32. I'll see if I can find the reference to it meaning prostitution. It was
  33. in a book of line by line biblical commentary.

  40. The book was written by biblical scholars not by myself. I'm an atheist
  41. and it only matters to me when it comes to debating. I'm basically
  42. a utilitarian when it comes to ethics. If sex increases happiness then
  43. it is right.

  61. There may be a "best" ethic however like everything else in reality it can
  62. only be discovered through thought and expermentation. Old books have no
  63. more authority than anything else. The ethics in the four Gospels are in
  64. close agreement with systems of ethics arrived at by secular phylosophers
  65. (sp?). However the rest of the bible has ethics worse than those practiced
  66. by most street gang members.
