  12. Without necessarily agreeing with every word of Kahl's critique
  13. of Hank Roth, it seems to me that it's in the main correct.  Roth
  14. _does_ see things from an extreme anti-Israeli perspective and he
  15. _does_ peddle a line that, thank the stars, is boringly predictable.

  17. Thus no one is surprised when Roth calls any criticism of him
  18. "red-baiting" and few can think that his long-winded and totally
  19. irrelevant History of Red-baiting (short course ;-|) is an answer.

  21. I don't want to be misunderstood: I'm opposed to red-(or any other
  22. kind of) baiting which is another word for cheap and dishonest
  23. demagoguery.  Trouble is: Roth himself operates from within that
  24. tradition.  Makes his complaints more red herrings than serious
  25. arguments.
