  32. While the claims of who won the Cold War are debatable, would you rather
  33. we had simply let the communists develop the biggest nuclear arsenal?

  35. As to pressure re drugs, they don't do it with my knowledge or consent,
  36. as I think the so-called 'war on drugs' is/was a mistaken way of going
  37. about the problem.

  39. What about other countries pressuring us on GATT to weaken our laws
  40. regarding pesticides in farm produce, etc., these same countries
  41. who put on such a big show in Rio?

  43. Copyright laws? Sure, lets just let the rest of the world rip-off
  44. our inventions and work. I mean why not, we've got enough money
  45. as it is.

  47. As to the invasion of Panama - sure someone blew it, but if I'm
  48. expected to have sympathy for Noriega, don't count on it. Also,
  49. I seem to recall a few of our people - university teachers and
  50. news reporters who were held someplace for a few years through
  51. the efforts of a 'foriegn government' (even though they hid
  52. behind the Hezbollah (sp?).

  54. Hey! We aren't perfect and have been known to screw up on occasion.
  55. But on the one hand the rest of the world says we should go in
  56. here with the army, we should go in there with the marines, then
  57. when we do we're in deep s**t. Isolationism begins to sound
  58. better every day.

  60. What you are doing is sure a funny way of going about getting the
  61. results you seem to want. If I thought the policies of the Finnish
  62. government vis-a-vis the U.S. were strange, I would not post in
  63. soc.culture.finland in quite the way you have. If you get a few
  64. folks backs up, don't be surprised.
