  24. It's really chilling to hear Bush say essentially "I will use whatever
  25. force is necessary" in connection with the LA riots.  (chilling from
  26. the human viewpoint - from long-term political viewpoint discarding
  27. the short-term suffering it might be a good idea since escalating the
  28. conflict into a civil war might be one of the few ways of change).
