- As evidence against such an absurd position:
- Throw a handful of sand on a sheet of paper. The resulting pattern could not be termed
- "designed" (except by the most adamant creationist). Its function is to illumine you
- on the results of ballistics, atmospheric effects, and random distribution. Hence,
- the multiple different parts (each a grain of sand) is working together to accomplish
- a function (heck, even "be pretty" is a function) without being designed. Note: the
- PATTERN is what is doing the function, not the paper, not even the individual grains
- of sand.
