  40. That certainly seems to be true. But the evidence suggests (rather
  41. strongly) that once upon a time there was no life. But there is life
  42. now. So life must have come from something that is not alive, or else
  43. it would not be here now.

  45. Incidentally, I notice you say "sould/other life"; do you mean
  46. to propose that souls existed before life did, and life came
  47. from souls? If so, you've a long way to go, as you haven't
  48. even demonstrated the existance of souls. But at least you dont
  49. have to worry about the preceeding paragraph. Nonetheless,
  50. that kind of reasoning is what leads people to believe that abiogenesis
  51. must have happened sometime in the past- even if it was caused by
  52. some supernatural force, it still must have happened.
