  26.    I have -- lots.  It seems that it would take a designer even
  27. more complex than GOD to design GOD, and this designer would
  28. require an even more complex designer, etc.  Where does it end?

  30.    So the possibilities I've come up with are:
  31. 1) The Universe was not created, but always "was" -- or it was
  32.    created from nothing at the Big One.

  34. 2) GOD was not created, but always "was" -- or was created from
  35.    the Big One.

  37. 3) The assumption that GOD needed a more complex designer is
  38.    incorrect, and 1 or more simpler designers created GOD.
  39.    Even less complex designers created those designers, etc.
  40.    The initial designers were created from ???? (I don't know
  41.    -- the Big One???)

  43. None are really satisfactory from a "feels right" point of view.
  44. And 3) leads to the question of why only one GOD -- would the
  45. designers KNOW he/she/it was perfect, even if they weren't?
  46. Were all but one destroyed by the designers, or did the surviving
  47. ONE destroy all the others?

  49.    Between 1) and 2), it seems like a coin toss.  If GOD could
  50. always "be", why couldn't the Universe?  Are they really stating
  51. the same thing:  GOD IS the UNIVERSE and the UNIVERSE IS GOD??
  52. If they're not the same, why is 2) easier for some to accept than 1)?

  54.    Of course, maybe I missed some other possibility ... or maybe
  55. the question doesn't make sense....
