  25.     According to Bishop Ussher, the Flood occured in 2348 BCE.  Remember that
  26. there was a considerable time between Adam and the Flood -- Methuselah
  27. alone lived 969 years.
  28.     As far as I can tell, the time of the building of the pyramids of Egypt began
  29. around 2500 BCE and lasted a couple of hundred years, and thus causes 
  30. considerable problems with a world-wide catastrophic Flood having occurred
  31. about then.  There is also a continuous history in Mesopotamia covering
  32. that era -- Sargon of Akkad began his reign somewhere aroud 2350 BCE.
  33. Also, there is the civilization of the Indus Valley which has beginnings
  34. somewhere around that time.
  35.      However, I have doubts about the Aztec civilization beginning that
  36. early.  Does anyone have some dates on Mesoamerican civilizations?
