  24. Are you sure?  I guess I just don't know what happens to children in the 
  25. case where the mother had custody and then she died.  Does custody pass
  26. to the father?  To the mother's next-of-kin?  Does it matter if the father
  27. requests custody?  If he requests *not* to get custody?
