  30.    In any relationship, the family eventually becomes involved.  Most
  31. adults will politely ignore oposing views of prospective inlaws.  This
  32. is called "being civilized".  Your girlfriend's parents are not this 
  33. sort so the burden is on you.  Don't let them goad you into arguing.
  34. Change the subject.  If they refuse to change the subject, leave.  Don't
  35. argue, just leave.  Eventually, they will learn what subjects cannot
  36. be discussed, and for the sake of their daughter's happiness, they will
  37. "be civilized".  This may take a while, so hang in there.  Remember,
  38. holding your temper is the mark of an adult.
