Sutro Library is the genealogical collection of the California State
Library.  I haven't been there, but it's supposed to be huge, and
every time I look up some obscure title on MELVYL, it turns out to be
at Sutro.  It's off 19th behind the big shopping mall.  I don't have
the address, but I was told to take the turn off 19th at the middle of
the mall and go UNDERNEATH it (there's an underpass) and turn right.
Unfortunately for me, it is open only weekdays during business hours
(I think 10-5, but you should call ahead).  Ask your son to report
back to the net if he checks it out.
