- Ugh! You've said it! Try a philosophy job interview for an extreme
- example of this. My pet peeve in philosophy is the "I don't understand
- your argument" ploy, where the person pretends that they don't understand
- you because your argument was too vague. Really they do understand you,
- they're just pretending to be a computer that needs every semi-colon in
- the right place. When I get enough nerve, I'll ask such a person if they
- have any idea which line of code has the bug in it.
