- [Co-mod (Mark): Let me add a bit of hype to this-- :)
- Henry Fuchs' talk should be great, just because it's Henry Fuchs,
- and if you haven't heard/seen him, you definitely shouldn't miss this.
- Not as many people have probably heard of Turner Whitted, but he is
- often credited with inventing ray-tracing as a method of computing
- pictures. He's teaching an advanced graphics course at UNC-Chapel
- Hill, which I'm fortunate enough to be taking currently, and I
- would *definitely* recommend going to this. The man knows his
- stuff, and some really great stories, as well. :)
- And hey, if you get to meet Karin, too, that's yet another reason to
- go to these! *grin* ]
